Roquefere, Labastide and Carcassonne

“Tout arrive en France.” – François de La Rochefoucauld

A collection of photos from my early morning and afternoon walks, explorations and little adventures. I had no idea just how incredible this part of France was. The Languedob-Roussillon Region is in between Provence and the  Pyrenees Mountains and it borders with Spain. My heart has been taken completely! With the bluest of skies, a very hot end to summer, the dramatic change of season, rain for the first time in months, abundant medieval history, beautiful sandstone houses in tiny little villages, goats cheese, figs, for you wine drinkers amazing vineyards and most of all the mountains to climb. I can’t wait to come back next year.
